The microphone Cardi B hurled at a woman during her recent show at Drai’s Nightclub in Las Vegas has gone up for sale.
According to a report TMZ published on Wednesday, August 2, the mic in question belongs to an audio production company called The Wave. The owner of the company Scott Fisher told the outlet that The Wave provides audio equipment and support for numerous clubs and venues in the Las Vegas area. Fisher said he found the mic after the incident due to a white label, and made sure it’s still functional.
Fisher started the bidding on his eBay listing at $500 and the price has skyrocketed to over US $99,000 since. The intention is to donate funds to a couple of charities including the Wounded Warrrior Project & Friendship Circle Las Vegas, which assists teens and young adults with special needs.
For the unfamiliar, Cardi B went viral over the weekend after she tossed her microphone at a woman who threw her water and ice cubes at the rapper while she was on stage. Although she previously encouraged the crowd to splash water on her, Bardi claimed that ice cubes in the drink hit her in the face. She retaliated by chucking the mic at the woman in the crowd. The day after the incident occurred another woman who was also hit by the mic went to the police and filed a report against the Bronx artist.
“Let me tell you something, a b***h got muthaf**kin’ assaulted,” Cardi said during a recent livestream. “And for anybody that’s got some bulls**t to f**king say, when water and ice get thrown n your f**king face and hit you mad hard, then you can come talk to me and tell me what you would do in my muthaf**king shoes b**tch.”
As of this report, it’s not clear if the woman who threw the water first is the one who inspired the battery investigation.

A US judge has ruled that Katy Perry’s company is liable for damages as it infringed on Australian fashion designer Katie Perry’s trademark.
Katie Jane Taylor’s line of clothing (Katie Perry) has existed since 2007 and initially, singer Katheryn Hudson, more popularly known as Katy Perry, fought the Australian registration of the brand. Hudson later withdrew and the trademark was registered to the Australian clothing line. Ms Taylor went onto sue Ms Hudson in 2019, ten years after the singer started selling her own brand of merchandise under her own name.
The judge found that Ms Hudson had infringed on Twitter ahead of her Australian Prism tour in 2014, but ruled that the singer did not owe any compensation to the designer because she had used ‘Katy Perry’ in ‘good faith’. Hudson’s firm ‘Kitty Purry’ is now liable for damages due to the sale of clothing during the tour, at pop-up stores and on a website.

Further claims of infringement via clothing sold at Target, Myer, Amazon & eBay during the ‘Prism’ & ‘Witness Tour’ in Australia were rejected. Justice Markovic also dismissed the popstar’s bid to cancel the ‘Katie Perry’ trademark.
Speaking to AAP, Ms Taylor said she would ‘have a champagne’ to celebrate this court win and said ‘I’m absolutely over the moon. It’s been about standing up for small business, for Australian law and also for justice and truth’.
The our process was a lengthy one for Ms Taylor as she faced trolling, bullying and death threats from Hudson’s online fans. ‘It’s been incredibly stressful within the court … and even outside the court to have to deal with intimidation tactics,’ she said.
New Mexico prosecutors have decided to drop criminal charges against actor Alec Baldwin in the fatal shooting of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins on the set of the Western movie Rust, Baldwin’s lawyers say.
The news arrived on the same day Baldwin and other cast members resumed filming the movie in Montana.
“We are pleased with the decision to dismiss the case against Alec Baldwin and we encourage a proper investigation into the facts and circumstances of this tragic accident,” Luke Nikas and Alex Spiro said in a statement on Thursday.
Baldwin, 65, was charged in January with two counts of involuntary manslaughter in connection with Hutchins’ death and the injury of Rust director Joel Souza, who was struck by the same bullet that passed through Hutchins.
Prosecutors had also charged armourer Hannah Gutierrez-Reed with involuntary manslaughter and will continue the prosecution against her, a person familiar with the matter said. Gutierrez-Reed has pleaded not guilty.
Baldwin was accused of showing a “reckless” disregard for safety in Hutchins’ death. He pleaded not guilty in February after prosecutors downgraded the seriousness of the charges, reducing the potential prison time. Baldwin has in interviews said he was told the gun was safe and he never pulled the trigger. The two special prosecutors handling the case in New Mexico’s First Judicial District had no comment, their spokeswoman Heather Brewer said.
New Mexico prosecutors have been beset by legal errors since they filed charges against Baldwin and Gutierrez-Reed in January. The most serious charges against the defendants were dropped in February, and two prosecutors have stepped down. The source, who is familiar with talks between Baldwin’s lawyers and special prosecutors, said prosecutors are expected to drop the charges against Baldwin in a court filing as soon as Thursday.
New evidence showed the firearm used by Baldwin had been modified, and prosecutors could no longer prove it required a trigger pull to fire, the source said. The two sides had been discussing the charges ahead of a May 3 hearing, when a New Mexico judge was set to decide whether Baldwin should stand trial.
The shooting occurred during a rehearsal on October 21, 2021, when a Colt .45 revolver Baldwin was pointing toward the camera went off. Investigators have not been able to determine how live rounds made it on set. The first assistant director, Dave Halls, was sentenced last month to a suspended sentence after he pleaded guilty to negligent use of a deadly weapon. Prosecutors had said he was responsible for set safety.
Gutierrez-Reed has blamed the shooting on other factors including possible sabotage, Baldwin’s lack of training, and a failure by Halls and Baldwin to ask her for extra checks.
“We fully expect at the end of this process that Hannah will also be exonerated,” her lawyers Jason Bowles and Todd Bullion said in a statement on Thursday.
Baldwin settled a lawsuit in October with the cinematographer’s husband, Matt Hutchins, in a deal that made Hutchins an executive producer on the movie.
Frank Ocean has dropped out of the second weekend of Coachella.
The Blonde musician was advised by medical professionals not to perform at the California festival this weekend after he suffered an injury on festival grounds prior to his first performance last weekend, his representatives said in a statement to TMZ.
“After suffering an injury to his leg on festival grounds in the week leading up to weekend 1, Frank Ocean was unable to perform the intended show but was still intent on performing, and in 72 hours, the show was reworked out of necessity,” his reps, adding, “On doctor’s advice, Frank is not able to perform weekend 2 due to two fractures and a sprain in his left leg.”
Ocean reportedly suffered his injury in a bike accident days before his weekend 1 performance, leading to last-minute production changes and a set that was cut short. Ocean said that the show was “chaotic” but added that “there is some beauty in chaos.” “It isn’t what I intended to show but I did enjoy being out there and I’ll see you soon,” he said.
This comes after his controversial week 1 performance where fans expressed disappointment across social media.
blink-182 will reportedly be the headliner for Sunday (April 23) night. The newly-reunited group of Mark Hoppus, Travis Barker and Tom DeLonge were added to the lineup during weekend 1 for a last-minute performance that marked the trio’s fist time performing together since 2014.
Flo Rida’s young son is currently in the Intensive Care Unit after he fell out of a window from the 5th story of an apartment building in Jersey City.
According to a report The Daily Voice published on Wednesday, March 29, the Florida native’s six-year-old son Zohar Dillard fell straight to the pavement and suffered intense injuries. The child’s mother Alexis Adams plans to take legal action against the building’s management after she claims they were “negligent and careless” for not installing size guards on the windows. She’s seeking an undisclosed amount for compensation to help pay for medical bills.
“As a single mom to a special needs child, this feels like a nightmare,” Adams said. “My heart is broken into a million pieces. It is devastating to see my child go through such pain and trauma knowing that this could’ve been avoided.”
Dillard, who was previously diagnosed with autism and a brain condition, has been in the ICU since the incident occurred earlier this month. Her son suffered from “a shattered pelvis, left metatarsal fractures, a Grade 3 liver laceration, internal bleeding and collapsed lungs.” In legal documents filed by Adams’ lawyer Steven P. Haddad, the building and its management, Pitch Perfect 74, LLC, Goldberg Management, are listed as defendants along with several John and Jane Does, a construction company, a window installation company and others.
So far, Flo Rida has not spoken on the situation involving his son. He just got over his previous legal issues with energy drink Celsius. The rapper recently won $82.6 million after he sued the energy drink company for breach of contract.
